Argana Varietales Cabernet Sauvignon 2014 - Only 16 bottles remaining

A wine its creator Rubén Arroyo is rightly proud of Argana's Cabernet Sauvignon is a sweet and ripe affair – ruby red and with intense violet tones. On the nose it's a vibrant, peppery Cabernet Sauvignon, with notes of plum, oak, and vanilla. While on the tongue there are the long-finishing flavours of fruits and wood.

Grown in San Rafael, Mendoza, Argana harvests its grapes by hand and subjects them to a carefully managed fermentation process, which includes a pre-fermentative cold maceration to unlock the aromatic compounds in the skin.

A very drinkable red and one that would be as welcome at a Summer barbecue as it would with a Shepherd's Pie on a chill Autumn evening.

Argana - Bogeda Argana

Established by Ruben Arroyo and his late father Raul, the Argana complex is located in San Rafael, a southern oasis high in the province of Mendoza, the main wine region of Argentina. Argana's vineyards are irrigated with meltwater from Atuel River, and the mild autumns allow for a later harvest than most.
