Carmelo Patti Cabernet Sauvignon 2007

A long-time favourite with our customers and those fortunate enough to have experienced Carmelo's generous hospitality first-hand, the '07 Cab Sav is a full-bodied wine with real finesse. If you've never tried one of Carmelo's wines before, this will make for a memorable introduction.

Scents of red and green peppers and woodsmoke fill the nose and continue to unfold on the tongue with dark Autumn fruits. Beautifully-rounded, and with some of the smoothest tannins you'll taste this side of the Equator, it's not as sweet as it's European counterparts, making it a superior pairing to a good steak. This is a truly singular wine.

If ever there was a wine made to be partnered with meat, it's Carmelo Patti's 2007 Cab Sav, a bottle that's just crying out to share a juicy steak with you. Good to drink now or, if you have a far stronger will than us, to cellar up to 2025.

Carmello Patti - Bodega Carmelo Patti

Carmelo Patti has been making wine for over forty years and is one of the most respected winemakers in the Argentine wine world. He runs his small boutique winery in Luján de Cuyo, Mendoza and produces about 20,000 litres per year using Malbec and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes. He runs every element of the operation himself with all the care and artistry of a master craftsman. He will not sell the wine until he deems it ready for release, usually at least 4-5 years after harvest, with at least 3 of those years in bottle.
